14 For he knows our frame;

he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;

he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,

and its place knows it no more.

17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to children’s children,

Psalm 103:14–17 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

14 For he knoweth our frame;

He remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass:

As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone;

And the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,

And his righteousness unto children’s children;

Psalm 103:14–17 — New Living Translation (NLT)

14 For he knows how weak we are;

he remembers we are only dust.

15 Our days on earth are like grass;

like wildflowers, we bloom and die.

16 The wind blows, and we are gone—

as though we had never been here.

17 But the love of the Lord remains forever

with those who fear him.

His salvation extends to the children’s children

Psalm 103:14–17 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

14 For He knows our frame;

He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;

As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,

And its place remembers it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting

On those who fear Him,

And His righteousness to children’s children,

Psalm 103:14–17 — New Century Version (NCV)

14 He knows how we were made;

he remembers that we are dust.

15 Human life is like grass;

we grow like a flower in the field.

16 After the wind blows, the flower is gone,

and there is no sign of where it was.

17 But the Lord’s love for those who respect him

continues forever and ever,

and his goodness continues to their grandchildren

Psalm 103:14–17 — American Standard Version (ASV)

14 For he knoweth our frame;

He remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass;

As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone;

And the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the lovingkindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,

And his righteousness unto children’s children;

Psalm 103:14–17 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

14 For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth: 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more. 17 But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children,

Psalm 103:14–17 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

14 He certainly knows what we are made of.

He bears in mind that we are dust.

15 Human life is as short-lived as grass.

It blossoms like a flower in the field.

16 When the wind blows over the flower, it disappears,

and there is no longer any sign of it.

17 But from everlasting to everlasting,

the Lord’s mercy is on those who fear him.

His righteousness belongs

to their children and grandchildren,

Psalm 103:14–17 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

14 For He knows what we are made of,

remembering that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass—

he blooms like a flower of the field;

16 when the wind passes over it, it vanishes,

and its place is no longer known.

17 But from eternity to eternity

the Lord’s faithful love is toward those who fear Him,

and His righteousness toward the grandchildren

Psalm 103:14–17 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

14 For he knows how we were made;

he remembers that we are dust.

15 As for mortals, their days are like grass;

they flourish like a flower of the field;

16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,

and its place knows it no more.

17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting

on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to children’s children,

Psalm 103:14–17 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

14 For he knows our frame.

He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like the grass.

As the flower of the field, so he blossoms.

16 When the wind passes over it, it is no more,

and its place knows it no longer.

17 But the loyal love of Yahweh

is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to their children’s children,

Psalm 103:14–17 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

14 He knows what we are made of.

He remembers that we are dust.

15 People’s lives are like grass.

People grow like the flowers in the field.

16 When the wind blows on them, they are gone.

No one can tell that they had ever been there.

17 But the Lord’s love

for those who have respect for him

lasts for ever and ever.

Their children’s children will know

that he always does what is right.

Psalm 103:14–17 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

14 For He Himself knows our frame;

He is mindful that we are but dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;

As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16 When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,

And its place acknowledges it no longer.

17 But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,

And His righteousness to children’s children,
