Lamentations 3:21–27 — The New International Version (NIV)

21 Yet this I call to mind

and therefore I have hope:

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,

for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;

therefore I will wait for him.”

25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,

to the one who seeks him;

26 it is good to wait quietly

for the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke

while he is young.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — New Living Translation (NLT)

21 Yet I still dare to hope

when I remember this:

22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!

His mercies never cease.

23 Great is his faithfulness;

his mercies begin afresh each morning.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;

therefore, I will hope in him!”

25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him,

to those who search for him.

26 So it is good to wait quietly

for salvation from the Lord.

27 And it is good for people to submit at an early age

to the yoke of his discipline:

Lamentations 3:21–27 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

21 This I recall to my mind,

Therefore I have hope.

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,

Because His compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning;

Great is Your faithfulness.

24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,

“Therefore I hope in Him!”

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,

To the soul who seeks Him.

26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly

For the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man to bear

The yoke in his youth.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — New Century Version (NCV)

21 But I have hope

when I think of this:

22 The Lord’s love never ends;

his mercies never stop.

23 They are new every morning;

Lord, your loyalty is great.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is mine,

so I hope in him.”

25 The Lord is good to those who hope in him,

to those who seek him.

26 It is good to wait quietly

for the Lord to save.

27 It is good for someone to work hard

while he is young.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — American Standard Version (ASV)

21 This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope. 22 It is of Jehovah’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. 24 Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah. 27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

21 —This I recall to heart, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of Jehovah’s loving-kindness we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not; 23 they are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 Jehovah is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that one should both wait, and that in silence, for the salvation of Jehovah. 27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth:

Lamentations 3:21–27 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

21 “The reason I can ⸤still⸥ find hope is that I keep this one thing in mind:

22 the Lord’s mercy.

We were not completely wiped out.

His compassion is never limited.

23 It is new every morning.

His faithfulness is great.

24 My soul can say, ‘The Lord is my lot ⸤in life⸥.

That is why I find hope in him.’

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him,

to anyone who seeks help from him.

26 “It is good to continue to hope and wait silently

for the Lord to save us.

27 It is good for people to endure burdens when they’re young.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

21 Yet I call this to mind,

and therefore I have hope:

22 Because of the Lord’s faithful love

we do not perish,

for His mercies never end.

23 They are new every morning;

great is Your faithfulness!

24 I say: The Lord is my portion,

therefore I will put my hope in Him.

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,

to the person who seeks Him.

26 It is good to wait quietly

for deliverance from the Lord.

27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke

while he is still young.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

21 But this I call to mind,

and therefore I have hope:

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,

his mercies never come to an end;

23 they are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.

24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,

“therefore I will hope in him.”

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him,

to the soul that seeks him.

26 It is good that one should wait quietly

for the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for one to bear

the yoke in youth,

Lamentations 3:21–27 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

21 This I have reminded myself,

therefore I will hope.

22 The loyal love of Yahweh does not cease;

his compassions do not come to an end.

23 They are new in the morning,

great is your faithfulness.

24 “Yahweh is my portion,”

says my soul,

“Thus I will hope on him.”

25 Yahweh is good to those who wait on him,

to the person that seeks him.

26 It is good to wait in silence

for the salvation of Yahweh.

27 It is good for a man who carries

the yoke of his childhood.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

21 But here is something else I remember.

And it gives me hope.

22 The Lord loves us very much.

So we haven’t been completely destroyed.

His loving concern never fails.

23 His great love is new every morning.

Lord, how faithful you are!

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is everything I will ever need.

So I will put my hope in him.”

25 The Lord is good to those who put their hope in him.

He is good to those who look to him.

26 It is good when people wait quietly

for the Lord to save them.

27 It is good for a man to carry a heavy load of suffering

while he is young.

Lamentations 3:21–27 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

21 This I recall to my mind,

Therefore I have hope.

22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,

For His compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;

Great is Your faithfulness.

24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,

Therefore I have hope in Him.”

25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,

To the person who seeks Him.

26 It is good that he waits silently

For the salvation of the Lord.

27 It is good for a man that he should bear

The yoke in his youth.
