Ephesians 4:25–27 — The New International Version (NIV)

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — English Standard Version (ESV)

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — New Living Translation (NLT)

25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. 26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — New Century Version (NCV)

25 So you must stop telling lies. Tell each other the truth, because we all belong to each other in the same body. 26 When you are angry, do not sin, and be sure to stop being angry before the end of the day. 27 Do not give the devil a way to defeat you.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — American Standard Version (ASV)

25 Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 neither give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

25 Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another. 26 Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath, 27 neither give room for the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

25 So then, get rid of lies. Speak the truth to each other, because we are all members of the same body.

26 Be angry without sinning. Don’t go to bed angry. 27 Don’t give the devil any opportunity ⸤to work⸥.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

25 So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not make room for the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

25 Therefore, putting aside the lie, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, because we are members of one another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun set on your anger, 27 nor give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

25 So each of you must get rid of your lying. Speak the truth to your neighbor. We are all parts of one body.

26 Scripture says, “When you are angry, do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry. 27 Don’t give the devil a chance.

Ephesians 4:25–27 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.
