18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

18 Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 A certain leader asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to have life forever?”

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

18 And a certain ruler asked him saying, Good teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life?

18 An official asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 

18 A ruler asked Him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, by doing what will I inherit eternal life?”

18 A certain ruler asked Jesus a question. “Good teacher,” he said, “what must I do to receive eternal life?”

18 A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’”

21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.

20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’ ” 21 And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.”

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ”

21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

20 You know the commands: ‘You must not be guilty of adultery. You must not murder anyone. You must not steal. You must not tell lies about your neighbor. Honor your father and mother.’ ”

21 But the leader said, “I have obeyed all these commands since I was a boy.”

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and mother. 21 And he said, All these things have I observed from my youth up.

21 The official replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was a boy.”

21 “I have kept all these from my youth,” he said.

20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’ ” 21 And he said, “All these I have observed from my youth.”

20 You know what the commandments say. ‘Do not commit adultery. Do not commit murder. Do not steal. Do not give false witness. Honor your father and mother.’ ”

21 “I have obeyed all those commandments since I was a boy,” the ruler said.

20 “You know the commandments, ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’ ”

21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”
